EZConvert's Config Editor provides two testing options, both available from the Test Configuration drop-down menu.

Test Configuration > Local

The Local option uses the Command Line Conversion tool installed on your computer. Simply select the Source file and the location where the Destination file should be saved. The configuration is then executed locally, the conversion results are displayed in a Command Prompt window, and the destination file is saved to the selected location.

Test Configuration > API

The API option uses the latest available EZConvert REST API and requires a valid API Key.

To avoid consuming conversions from your current subscription plan while testing a configuration, Config Editor performs the conversion using the /convert/demo endpoint.

Select the Source file, which will be uploaded to EZCloud Storage, and choose the location where the Destination file should be saved. The current configuration is automatically submitted to the API together with the source file.

Once the conversion is complete, the API response is displayed in a separate window and the destination file is automatically downloaded to the selected location.
